New Zoho Recruit UI input controls are tedious and not user friendly

Hi Zoho Team,

The new UI on Zoho Recruit looks fine and might be an improvement if it weren’t for the control that is used for the form fields.

For every modification, one must find the Edit icon somewhere far to the right, then type on the left, then click the Save icon far to the right again.

Has this been tested by HCI and UI experts? It is very laborious and requires a lot of mouse movements, leading to carpal tunnel and other physical issues.

Have a look at other data entry intensive UI controls in other applications. For example, in HubSpot CRM. You can sign up for a free account to test this.

There, if you want to change a property, you can just simply click into the text and start writing. Then just click into the next text somewhere and write there.

There is no need for the “Edit” and “Save” icons somewhere far away from where the edits are to be done.

Please revisit these controls and improve them before you roll that out across the entire application suite.

Thanks,

Thomas.
