Good Afternoon,
I am looking for information on how databases work in Zoho. From what I gather, databases "evolve" as forms are built and repositories (database) are established to store the captured data.
As a database developer, I've been trying to assess how the application stack provides the ability to centralize data. In other words, I don't necessarily want the same data used across forms to be found in multiple databases, but rather establish a model and plug the apps into the model.
I'm also interested in learning more about how to import data from an ODBC data source and of course, how to export the data collected.
Finally, in traditional development, the apps we build are comprised of various functionality that we can encapsulate and reuse. I'm very interested in knowing if this is possible.
I'm interested in developing within Zoho and have not found resources that speak to architecture, database overview, code library/reuse. If anyone has any information on any of this, I'd really love to understand just how much I can extend and integrate the apps without creating a mess of data islands with redundant data.
I'm sure I just am missing key resources to understand it better and look forward to learning more.
Sincerely,
Nick
