Pivot tables from Excel spreadsheet .xslx
After I imported an .xslx spreadhsheet into Zoho Sheets, I entered some information and went to create a pivot table. I had a major problem because highlighting the fields I wanted did nothing to show the categories of the sheet. I checked out the tutorial on the blog about creating a pivot table from a .csv and did not find that helpful to what I was having a problem with.
After tinkering for a few hours, I finally realized that Zoho does not recognize any column categories if you highlight just one empty cell in your Data Range. I find this to be a big problem because there are categories where I just don't have information yet, but I would like to begin analyzing the data as I get it. PLEASE add some sort of exception for empty cells!
As a teporary workaround, I think I can fill in those categories with an x, but I worry that the averaging feature might be thrown off if I do anything other than that. Plus, I would have to fill in xes for all of the cells for which I have already entered my clientele names.
