Problem with empty placeholders

On an invoice template not all placeholders exist for all customers invoices.
Examples are the %CompanyStreetAddress2% or %TermsAndCondition% ...

But when we create a new recurring invoice we receive the message bellow.

Can't we have placeholders in an invoice template that for certain customers are empty ?!

Dear Customer

We were unable to send the invoice notification email for <CUSTOMER> for the invoice# <INV_NR> dated <INV_DATE>. The email was not sent due to the reason that we were unable to replace some of the placeholders used on the invoice/email template.

The problematic placeholders are listed below:
  • %CompanyStreetAddress2%
  • %CustomerBState%
  • %TermsAndCondition%

The invoice is saved as a draft. You can review the invoice and send it to the customer by following the steps below:

1. Go to 'Invoices' tab.
2. Search for the invoice to be sent by entering the <INV_NR> in the search box on the right hand side of the 'All Invoices' page.
3. You will see the









<INV_NR> in the search results. Now click the email invoice link below that invoice to send it to the customer.
