Projects - On hold time

Projects - On hold time

Hi.
I am trying to create a report which would show how much time a project is on hold. I would prefer not to create a custom date field for projects layout because we would have to manually fill it out...
Is there any way to check that without adding fields? Unfortunately, I don't see any corresponding fields in Projects data tables :/
