Receive only wildcard aliases

Receive only wildcard aliases

Hi, is it possible to use wildcard aliases allowing burner, receive only email addresses to be used by the individual user as they sign up to online services without actually creating the email address or requiring action from the admin?

Conceptually it would be something like *_username@domain.com so the user could set up sign up to Netflix with netflix_username@domain.com, themselves without relying on admin help. For added security, it would be better if the username portion was not their username but some pseudo-random string associated with that user's account. Should that account become compromised - the user, if they want, can simply added a delete on receipt filter to silently discard those emails and reduce their risk of exposure to various attacks.

Unlike the current aliases, which can be used for sending and as a consequence clutter the UI from other legitimate sendAs email addresses, this would be a receive only alias. This addresses Zoho's stated concerns of allowing Zoho to be a spam source, but would address the 90+% use case of why people typically want aliases - to use a different email address for each online service.

The second benefit of this approach is the admin can enable (or not) this domain wide (huge productivity benefit), possibly choosing their own format.

If this isn't possible, can it be added to the roadmap? It's a feature that is becoming common on email hosting services and with the growing amount of hacking/spam, would become a compelling reason  to switch.

Thanks

Alan
