I have been trying to use the new SaaS platform, and it is fair to say, a lot of effort for zero business benefits - so far. I tried to raise these issues through online support, but it keeps responding there is an issue... they are right, quite a few. Rather than wait for online support to work, I have posted here... I need to take comfort from the community as my already grey hair....

The are:
  1. on pricing i cannot say it is an annual plan, only provide an annual discount
  2. on pricing the text box does not allow multiple concurrent capitals such as XXX, it would be changed to Xxx
  3. If you delete your solution it deletes the pricing plan, so moving apps from your normal creator account to the SaaS platform can only be done once without recreation of plans
  4. When you create a Stage Account, it ignores the profile and always sets it up as Admin.. So if you wanted a prospective client to look at the system, he/she would see everything
  5. Alert messaging formatting does not work. It ignores any formatting HTML such as <b>
  6. it does not appear that openurl now works
and this is after one hour of testing

In its present state I really cannot see much value in the SaaS offering. It offers me nothing but added complexity. In summary:

  1. No mobile
  2. No App to App integration, so no ability to use a common support application or indeed common debugging
  3. In built solution debugging is uselesss as I can no longer access the debug file
  4. No Sysadmin
  5. Delays between Stage and Production - it is like the 1980's going to the IT department...
  6. No ability to troubleshoot on clients system
  7. No Audit, not sure about backup yet
  8. No Portal and any easy mechanisms for Clients to add users
  9. Only offered in US Data Centre and all of the privacy issues that causes
My beloved Zoho Team, please please please, let us stick with the old, loved model...
