Save Notification Filter Preferences in Zoho Desk

Hi Zoho Team,

We appreciate the new feature that allows agents to filter notifications by Unread Notifications, @Mentions, and Flagged Notifications. This is a great enhancement that makes it easier to manage notifications effectively.

However, we’d like to request an additional improvement:

  1. Persistent Notification Filters: Allow agents to set their preferred filter as a constant, so the system remembers the selected filter across sessions.

    For example, if an agent sets the filter to @Mentions, the system should keep that setting every time the agent opens the notifications section, without requiring them to reset it manually.

Use Case:

  • Efficiency: Agents will save time by not having to select the same filter repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Personalization: Different agents might prefer different filters (e.g., Unread vs. @Mentions) based on their workflow. Having persistent filters ensures they always see the most relevant notifications without extra effort.

Additionally, please refer to our previous feature request regarding @Mentions notifications. The goal of that request is to ensure agents only receive a one-time notification when mentioned, rather than receiving all future notifications for that ticket unless they choose to follow it explicitly.

We believe this small enhancement will make a big difference in usability and user experience.
