Solution of the Week : Consolidated Balance Sheet for Multiple Organizations with different base currencies

Solution of the Week : Consolidated Balance Sheet for Multiple Organizations with different base currencies

In the previous solution, we discussed in detail about creating a Multiple Organizations Setup with the same base currency

In this solution, we will be addressing the process of creating consolidated financial reports, such as a Balance sheet, for multiple Zoho Finance Organizations that operate with different base currencies.

In this post, we will describe the solution step-by-step, by using the Single Organization Setup in Zoho Analytics, with a few additional steps.

First, we need to create tables to consolidate the data from all organizations and convert their different base currencies into a single base currency.

Follow the steps below to create consolidated financial reports:
  • Import the data from one of the organizations using the single organization setup.
  • Add the other Zoho Finance organizations with different base currencies into the same workspace using the Add Datasource option.
  • Create a currency table with conversion rates.
  • Create two query tables to unify the Accounts and Accrual Transaction tables of all the organizations. Check the sample queries to create these query tables.
  • With these query tables, you can now create consolidated financial reports.
The following presentation shows in detail how to create Consolidated Reports for multiple orgs with the different base currency.

In the next post, we will see how to handle multiple currencies using the Multiple Organizations Setup option.
