Spotlight 11: Present your sessions efficiently

Spotlight 11: Present your sessions efficiently

Every session at your event needs to be properly planned to provide value for your attendees. Previously with Zoho Backstage, getting your presentations in place and delivering them on event day was done from the Sessions tab in the Manage dashboard view of the Event Console.

We've now revamped the way you can present sessions in Backstage. When your event has started, simply go over to the Conduct dashboard in the Event Console and click the Present Sessions tab. Here you'll see the sessions for all the event days in an active timeline as well as their related details, which will help you handle sessions in a more effective way.

View sessions in a color-coded format

Easily identify the state of a session by looking at the timeline. By default, the sessions for the current day will be laid out in the timeline on the left. Click on of these sessions to view more details on the right. Each session is color-coded based on the session's state. This will help you see a bird's eye view of everything that is happening in your event.

  • Upcoming sessions will display in white.
  • Running sessions will display in green.
  • Delayed sessions will display in yellow.
  • Completed sessions will display in pink.

Go to the current time

As your event day progresses, a red marker will indicate the time as it moves across the timeline. Use to  icon to jump to the current point in time. You can also view all the live sessions that are happening in your event and use the filters dropdowns at the top to see specific sessions.

Present a session

When you are ready to deliver your session, click on the session in the timeline. You will be able to view more details such as the name, location, and speaker. To start the session, click the Present button below the session's thumbnail. Engage your audience by opening the floor for questions and starting polls that each person can respond to from their devices. Once your session is done, your summary will be generated with detailed analytics so you can see how it all went.

Deliver your presentation multiple times

You can always give your presentation again if necessary. If you want to retain the older analytics and generate new data for your session, click the Represent button. To overwrite the older session data, click the Restart button.
