Whether it's a small conference or an international expo, every event is different. An event website that's fashioned specifically for your type of event not only offers a unique experience for visitors but also delivers information that attendees are looking for—right in their hand.
Zoho Backstage lets you create a custom page in the
Design
tab of the Microsite Builder. To do this, hover over the navigation bar on the top, and click the
Settings
icon [] to open the
Manage pages
pop-up. Here you can add your custom page and its details, such as the name that will appear in the navigation bar, and the URL for that page in the microsite.
You can fashion your custom page any way you want. Add sections to divide information into readable chunks, and arrange them in an order that ensures the content has logical transitions between each idea. You can also direct the focus of viewers to your custom page by reorganizing pages in the navigation bar, and displaying it up front. Finally, if you want to conceal the page from viewers until the time comes to reveal it, you can simply hide the page by clicking the
icon.
Here are a few of the many ways you can use this customization:
Ask your boss
This is a page where event participants can download email templates to request that their company let them attend the event or sponsor their ticket. Add a custom page and then create a section to display links to email templates that can be downloaded.
FAQ
A page where you can add questions and answers revolving around registration, ticket cancellation, accommodation, food, and any other miscellaneous topics. If you've already hosted an event, collect the questions that were asked by participants, and post them on this page for easy access.
Code of conduct
This page is dedicated to the rules that individuals must follow when attending your event. You can clearly define how your event will deal with various issues, like harassment or discrimination, and the ethics that attendees are expected to adhere to. You can also add a section with contact information for people that participants can get in touch with, if there are any concerns.
Testimonials
Reviews from previous attendees can be a good way to encourage people to come to your future events. Have a page to showcase any statements of appreciation you received by adding a custom page with a testimonial section.
Upcoming meetups
Are you hosting multiple events that are related to each other but happening at different locations? Add these details on a separate page to keep microsite visitors in the loop. You could even try using the image and text section to creatively display the location and provide details of the venue and its respective event.
Community news
If you have a community related to your event, you can add a page about it and use the embed widget section to display community news from your website or blog, directly on the event microsite.
Bring your original ideas to life with custom pages, and use different layouts or add elements to present the event information in the best way possible. And don't forget—you can always write to us at support@zohobackstage.com with your feedback or questions!
Happy organizing!
