I am trying to set up a project template for our travel agency that is sales focused, so employess and staf involved, all know what tasks they are assigned for every new booking.
In the owner column in tasks, i am only allowed to ad a specific person - available to the template project. I cannot add a role or profile instead, or at least not that i can tell.
This presents a few set of issues:
The sales person will not always be the same, so i cannot add a specific person.
The only option i have left is leave the owner unassigned, and have the sales staff auto assign themselves to tasks once a new project is created off the template.
- This is a whole issue in itself, as having unassinged tasks, and trusting employees to auto assign, can leave them unattended and lead to errors.
Allowing me to add a role/profile as the owner of the task, would add much needed flexibility.
If John Doe has a role/profile as an employee, and John Doe creates or is added to the project, all tasks with the role/profile of employee, would be automated to be assgined to him.
Does something like this exist? if not, is it in the pipeline? any work around with flow or something of the sorts?
