Tiny Tip Tuesday #2

Tiny Tip Tuesday #2

Shoot for your goals!

Last week we spoke about a tip on how to  get the questions in your survey right. To have a clear idea of what questions you need to ask, you need to first set goals and objectives for your survey. This week we'll see how setting survey objectives and stating them in the beginning of your questionnaire adds value to your data.

When you run a survey, it's important that your respondents know what it's all about, and what your objective is before they start. Listing your top three survey goals at the beginning gives your respondents clarity on what you hope to achieve with it. Defining your goals helps you word your questions better, and helps your respondents answer in a way that facilitates meeting those goals.

Spend some time planning and researching your survey goals, and what you'll be doing with the data you collect—and keep them specific, so your respondents are more motivated to take the survey in the first place!

Don't forget to watch this space for next week's tip!
