Tip # 14: Quick Tips for Better Task Management

Tip # 14: Quick Tips for Better Task Management

Many of us find that as we learn more, we need to revisit the basics more often. And this is true with our Tasks module. So, check out these really quick tips with your tasks.

Convert tasks to subtasks
When you look at some of your projects, it might be clear that some tasks can be nested within others, since they represent smaller chunks of the bigger tasks. To keep your tasklists without any clutter, you can convert tasks into subtasks. That way, only the bigger task show up in the list, and the smaller ones are organized within the bigger tasks.

To create a subtask:

  1. Navigate to the task you would like to be the parent task of the subtask.
  2. Click open the task. And you will see the Subtask tab.
  3. Click Add Subtask.  Fill in the details as needed, and then click  Add.
If you want to make an existing task as a subtask, just drag and drop a task beneath the required parent task to make it as a subtask .

Create recurring tasks
Most projects have lots of tasks that repeat at  intervals. It's helpful to create recurring tasks in such cases, so you don't need to remember to do things. Examples include “Quarterly Report, Client Meeting, Monthly Feature Announcements, etc. Recurring tasks can be created even for tasks that repeat infrequently.

To create a recurring task:

  1. Navigate to the task you would want to repeat.
  2. Click  Make it Recurring  to define the recurring frequency. This creates a recurring task for the chosen number of occurrence.

Thanks for using Zoho and keep those suggestions coming.
