Tip 41: Global Planned Vs Actual reports in Zoho Projects

Tip 41: Global Planned Vs Actual reports in Zoho Projects

The Global Reports helps you big time when you want to assess the progress or if you want information about tasks across all projects. Global Planned Vs Actual is one such report with which you can find the time spent for tasks. To view this report, navigate to Global Reports widget in Zoho Projects Home page.

Global Planned Vs Actual report provides the task work hour details of the individual user by distinguishing the work hours planned for the tasks versus the work hours actually spent on the tasks. The difference between the expected and actual work hours are also given for every task.

For instance, let's consider John, the portal admin who uses Global Planned Vs Actual reports to know which projects are taking up more time. Using the global planned vs actual report, John can find the total planned hours of a user and the actual hours spent by the user for all the tasks across projects. Also, with the difference between the planned and actual hours for every project, he can find the time-consuming projects.

Moreover, John's boss asks him a report of a particular user who has worked on a specific project and period. He applies a filter to the report and exports the report as an XLS file. With the help of Global Planned Vs Actual reports, John finds an immediate solution to generate reports across all projects instead of separately generating reports for every project.
