Tip #6 - How To Receive Bug Event Notifications?

Tip #6 - How To Receive Bug Event Notifications?

How about sending a layered notification to your team? Well, I think this is the best mass communication dodge that can keep your business intact. In this hustle-bustle lifestyle, no one finds time to shoot out the snags that deter your business progress. When you have an in-built tool that sets-off split-second notifications on the threats in your process, you can definitely find fixtures at an early stage and, can keep your negatives at bay.

Today, lets see how the new feature 'Notification Helper' benefited Joans?

Everyday, Joans finds it hard to tally the bugs and assign it to different employees. While working on the bugs section, he found a feature called 'Notification Helper', right then a sudden spark brought a grin in his face. When he started using this feature, he began to effectively manage the bugs and coordinate with employees.

What are the perks that Joans faced?

Since, he is the portal admin, he can trigger notifications to the users for the relevant bug events.

Christina (employee): Wait! Actually, what are bug events?

Joans explains, "Right from creation to deletion, all the activities dealing with bugs are termed under one name called Bug Events. When you trigger bug events to a particular set of users, they will receive instant notifications when changes are done in that pertinent bug event".

Christina : Where can I find this new feature in my project?

Joans : In the bugs, you can choose the Other Actions icon at the top right corner of the page and click Notification Helper.

Using the Notification Helper, Joans can check on the users who are notified for particular bug and bug events.

How can notification helper benefit Christina?

When a new feature is launched, it should benefit both the owner and the employee, in that way Zoho Projects has developed notification helper with an aim, to help both the portal owner and the user.  Since, she is the portal user, she will be able to check on the bug events that she will likely get notified of. But, she cannot check on the bug events for other users in the portal.

-Select the bug and click the Settings icon at the top right corner of the page

-Choose Notification Helper

Using this feature, portal owner and admin can check on the users who will be notified of relevant bug events, and portal users can check whether they will receive bug event notification or not.

Isn't it cool? Tell us how this feature amazed you!!

Warm Regards,

Monica. R

      • Tip of the Week: Task Dependency (Duration in Hours)

I hope the tip on task dependency helped in understanding how it works in Zoho Projects. In a real-time, the successor task may or may not start on the predecessor's completion date. On either case, a project management tool should allow the users to set dependency between tasks. Ain't it? In Zoho Projects, the Task Duration in Hours option allows the users to set dependency between tasks that ends and starts on the same day. The Portal Owner and Admin role users can activate this option from the

As the thoughts flow in your mind, you plan the tasks, provide duration and assign users. While you go through the calendar later, you feel that a couple of tasks should needs to be postponed by a couple of days. Do you navigate to the Tasks & Milestones section and change the task duration? is the question I have for you.
