Tip#68: Trigger Hourly schedules using Custom Functions

Schedules enable you to trigger custom functions at predetermined time intervals. Earlier, you can trigger custom functions daily, weekly, and monthly. In the most recent release of Qntrl, we have included the option to trigger custom function every hour.

For instance, the manager of a lead generation firm named Zylker needs a report to be generated every hour to check the lead generation count per hour. In such cases, you can script a custom function and trigger it every hour using Schedules.

To trigger an hourly schedule, navigate to  and select Schedules under Automation . Click New Schedule and fill in the required details such as Name, Frequency (in your case, Hourly), Start Date and Time, Expiry, Custom Function to be executed and click Save .

Know more about Schedules from this help document .
