In our latest blog we have addressed the steps that can be taken to make email marketing more efficient during the holiday season. In this tip we will address some of the best practices that you can keep in mind while following those steps.

Start early:

Most of the places around the world get into holiday excitement from early November. Festivals such as Diwali, Hanukkah, and Black Friday take up this part of the calendar. As an email marketer you should begin early and start sending out campaigns from the beginning of October. This will provide a month's time for your holiday email campaigns to work well among contacts. Let your contacts be aware of your discounts and have enough time to make the right decisions.

Maintain a schedule:

Planning ahead of time ensures you a scope for perfection only if you maintain a proper schedule. The calendar present in the dashboard of Zoho Campaigns allows you to mark down important dates corresponding to your campaigns. This feature also lets you coordinate well with other teammates. Understand the engagement behavior and provide timely content by maintaining a schedule for your holiday email campaigns.

Practice improvization:

Trying to emulate the approach from previous years' holiday campaigns isn't a bad idea. Your holiday mailing list will comprise of new contacts and a number of contacts from the previous year's campaign. It's quite normal that preferences might change during a year and careful gauging of the change is also required. This research will help you understand what degree of alteration you need to make to your already existing approach from the previous year. Similarities in choices often act catalysts for a time tested approach.

Hope this helps you in your holiday email marketing activities.
