Tip of the week 93 - Re-enrolment feature in Zoho Campaigns

Tip of the week 93 - Re-enrolment feature in Zoho Campaigns

What can be better than reaching out to the maximum contacts in your mailing list?

It is to include even those who have shifted from your engagement strategies midway. Now, as an email marketer, you have heavily relied on automation. After all, it brings your selected contacts within the ambit of various engagement methods without the excess hassle. However, consider that upon starting a workflow series based on a few criteria, certain contacts pass through the workflow and a few exit the workflow midway due to sudden changes in the criteria set up by you.

How will you again bring them back into the same workflow series?

Initiating a new workflow series for them is probably the best alternative, right?

No, absolutely not. Now you can re-enroll the exited contacts into the same workflow instead of creating a new workflow for them. Let's take a closer look at how you can utilize this new feature.

Suppose you start a new welcome series workflow for the new contacts whose names you have collected manually in the recent seminar conducted in your city, Sacramento, California. Your welcome series workflow is aimed to bring in only the new contacts from Sacramento. So, you select the 'Sacramento List' under the List trigger and allow only the new contacts to enter the workflow. While doing so, you also access the settings option to enable 'Re-enrolment of contacts', with 'City' as the selected field criteria.

You begin the workflow and all the contacts fulfilling the trigger criteria enter the workflow. You are optimistic and thus aim to build a long workflow spanning over two months. After a few days, three contacts from among them shift to a new city and update their location in the contacts' database of your Zoho Campaigns account. You immediately take note of this and remove them from the ongoing workflow.

Much to your surprise, a few days after this, they return to Sacramento and inform you about their return. Now you would want to include them in the same welcome series workflow, wouldn't you?

Previously, in such circumstances you were required to create a separate workflow for them if you intended to include them in your automation strategy. However, now things are different. The 'Re-enrolment of Contacts' feature now allows you to re-enter these contacts once again into the same workflow so that they can go through all the interactive paths without you having to create a separate workflow series for them.

We hope this helps you in your email marketing reengagement strategy.

Best Regards,

Susmit Sen

      • Tip of the week 15 - Add subscription-preferences option. Drive more engagement.

If crafting content for emails, getting creatives done, and running email campaigns is your love, then unsubscribes are the heartbreakers.  You can save your emails from being unsubscribed/trashed by adding a proper subscription-preferences option in your emails (works best at the time of signup). Giving subscribers the option to choose what they want to receive from you and decide how often (frequency of the emails) your emails should hit their inboxes will increase the reach of your campaigns manifolds.
