Tip of the Week - Your Own Customized Color Palette for a Workspace

A Color Palette is a collection of colors that you can easily apply to your charts and dashboards created in Zoho Analytics.

A need for a custom palette arises based on the data being analyzed. Also, a brand could be easily recognized by the colors used. Companies prefer to use a fixed set of colors consistently everywhere to instill the brand value.

Zoho Analytics understands both the above needs and you can match your charts and dashboards colors to your company's color palette. Let us see how to do this.

When creating a chart, the default palette will be selected and applied. You can change the default palette for a Workspace and create your own custom palette by following the below steps:
  1. Click the Workspace Settings icon.
  2. From the Workspace Settings page, open the Chart Colors tab.
  3. Choose the type of color palette you want to create - Solid Color, Monochrome, Gradient, or Pattern.
  4. Click the Create Palette button.
  5. The Edit Palette dialog will open.

  6. Make appropriate selections based on your requirement and click Save. You can also preview your palette using the Preview link.
  7. Click Save & Close in the Color Palettes Settings dialog to create your color palette.
  8. The created color palette will be listed in the Custom Palettes section. Select the created color palette to make it your default palette.

From then, by default, when you create a chart, the set palette colors will be assigned to your chart. You can choose to apply this palette to the existing charts by clicking More > Apply to All.

You can also choose to change colors in a chart using the Legend tab of Chart Settings. Follow the below steps to do this:
