Tips and Tricks #10: Check-In/Check-Out Presentations

Hello everyone!

We're back again with Zoho Show's tip of the week. Last week, we covered Importing and Exporting presentations. This week, we'll talk about how to protect your content from accidental overwriting.

One of Zoho Show's many great features is that you and your team can remotely share presentation ideas and collaborate on slides to deliver better results. However, you sometimes might want your collaborators to be able to view a presentation but not be able to make any changes until after you complete your own.

To ensure total control over your content, you can lock it using the Check-out option. Check-out allows you to edit slides without worrying about other users accidentally overwriting your content.

Here's how to Check-out your presentation:

1. Click
located at the top-right corner and select Check Out. Your presentation will now be locked and only you can work on it.

Note that, when you check out a presentation, it reloads in
Read Only  mode where other active collaborators can only read the slide content and not edit.

2. Once you're done working on your presentation, you can use the
Check In  option to unlock it and enable your collaborators to once more edit slides and improve content as you finalize your presentation.

Here's how to Check-In your presentation:
Click

located at the top right corner and select
Check In
. The presentation will now be unlocked and your collaborators can all make changes.

We hope you found this tip useful. If you have any questions on using the Check Out / Check In feature in Zoho Show, ask us in the comments below.
