Tips and Tricks #19: Export files on the go using Zoho Show app for Android

Hi Everyone,

Show's Android app allows you to export presentations in both PDF and PPTX formats, and share slides in JPEG format. To export PDF files in Android, you don't need to necessarily have a net connection and a zoho account. To export presentations as PPTX files, you need to necessarily have access to the internet if not a Zoho account.

Holding a Zoho account ensures data security by syncing your presentations to our Cloud. This saves your time from creating backup files. You can access files from Cloud anytime, anywhere, on the go.

Note: You can work on PDF files in offline mode. However, to share the PDF or PPTX files on any file sharing mediums, don't forget to connect to the internet.

Our mobile app makes it easy for you to quickly share files, any time, anywhere. With our options to allow you to share files internally or externally, you can reach the audience far and wide.

You can also share slides individually as JPEG images using the Share slide as an image option in Show app.

Not sure which file type to use? Take a look at our tips below to know when you can use PPTX, PDF, and JPEG files.

PPTX files can be ideal when you want to:
  • Transfer the presentation file to a local storage device such as a USB
  • Email to non-Zoho users
  • Narrate your ideas in a more engaging manner through data visualization and animated graphics
  • Connect with remote audiences in virtual sessions
  • Present sector-specific content to clients in different domains
  • Help the team comment and edit the contents more better
  • Convey concepts in a more consistent manner so that anybody in the team can present in a similar pattern
  • Convey ideas in a more pleasing manner
PDF's are a good choice when you want to:
  • Convert presentations into electronic materials, application forms, scanned documents, and more
  • Elaborate ideas more in detail and share files separately to clients
  • Submit a printed copy of your presentation
  • Print, share, and high-resolution copies
  • Email presentations to clients as document files
  • Provide customization in scaling presentations
  • Track version history of document
  • Zoom in, zoom out, or move backward and forward in the presentation
  • Secure your formatting, styling, layout, content, and text within the presentation, regardless of the viewer's device, operating system, or browser
Adopt JPEG format when you want to:
  • Print slides of a presentation at high resolution
  • Use the slide as a banner, poster, or flier for marketing your ideas
  • Post the slide as an image or a poster in social platforms
  • Email and share preview of a slide to partners, collaborators, or clients
  • Print or share slides having multiple color codes or high-contrast dark and light backgrounds
