Trick 35 - Views in Backlog
The Backlog is one of the key modules in an agile software. It lets you create work items, assign them to the respective sprints, and lets you start working on them. When you have too many work items, listing out a handful of them will be difficult. Zoho Sprints has simplified this for you.
Grouping
You can list the work items based on their groups. Each work item can be grouped based on
Item Type
,
Estimation Points
,
Priority
,
Epic
and
Assignee
. You can either list them as separate groups or you can also list all the groups together by enabling
Show All Groups
.
Filters
You can set special criteria that will display matching work items quickly. Just click
on the top right corner and enable the requisites. You can also choose to save that filter for future purposes.
Additionally, you can also choose how you want your work items and their sub-items to be displayed on a daily basis. Click
on the top right corner and enable your preferences.
We hope this trick disentangled the process of listing your work items. Do write to

Tip #1- Why swimlanes?
Lanes define a clear path to reach your destination. In Agile, swimlane is one such concept that sets a simple and clear process of the work that you do. The concept of swimlane can be related to the pool, where the swimmers gather in their respective lanes to start off. Similar to the pool, work items are grouped in different categories. Each category is referred as a lane and is displayed in horizontal format. Swimlanes are effective in categorizing the work items with respective to specific
