Twitter Chat on Email Newsletters—July 8, 2021

Hello everyone,

You're all invited to join us for our Twitter chat that will take place on the 8th of July, 2021 from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM GMT (4 PM - 5 PM IST). We hope that this one-hour twitter chat will help you kick start your newsletter and improve your email marketing strategies.

What's Twitter Chat?
It's a live chat on Twitter—we ask you a question, and you reply to the question with your answer. We'll have a couple of experts such as industry specialists, partners, and knowledgeable speakers, taking part in the session too. Be sure to share as well as gain more information through this chat session.

The title for #ZCampaignsChat is: Launching an email newsletter—made easy

When? July 8, 2021 | Thursday | 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM GMT (4 PM - 5 PM IST)
Where? On Twitter

Bonus: This is free and you do not have to register or travel to attend

Note: If the time zone difference doesn't allow you to participate with us in the above mentioned time, feel free to answer the question even after the session, we'll be happy to see different perspectives.

How to take part?
- Read the questions Q1, Q2,... that we post with the hashtag #ZCampaignsChat
- Tweet your answers as A1, A2,… with the same hashtag.
- See other opinions that people bring in for the questions.
- Please don't add any new questions.
- Follow the hashtag to keep track of email marketing discussions.

What do I need to know in prior?
Bring in your love and interest for email marketing, knowledge sharing, and collaboration with others! :)

But, apart from that, we've also got some simple rules (really easy, we promise!) for you to keep in mind:
  • Use the hashtag without fail while answering.
  • For question Q1, give your answer as A1. Q2 -> A2, Q3 -> A3, and so on...
  • Please be courteous while you tweet. No outrageous, condescending, or offensive comments, anytime during the chat
  • Don't share long, windy links that take people to random websites. No additional questions too.
  • Please don't advertise any product. We're looking into building a close network that only focuses on knowledge sharing and lifting each other up with learning.

For more information and updates about the session, follow our Twitter handle. And, if you'd like to take a look at our previous chats, here it is. Do write back to us if you've any further queries, we'd be happy to answer them for you.

We're excited and hope to see you all there!

PS: Don't worry if you don't have a Twitter account, we will be collating the questions and answers of this Twitter chat to a Twitter moment and we'll be sharing the link here in the same thread which could be accessed by everyone.

Best Regards,
Annet Mathews

      • Email Deliverability Tip #3: Seal the deal with the preheader

In the last post, we learned about the subject line. Today we'll be learning about the preheader. A preheader is the short text that follows the subject line in an email. The preheader is designed to hint at what your email message is all about. A good preheader should act as a second subject line and convince your contacts to open the email. Now, let's learn the best way to craft a preheader. Your subject line and preheader should work together and accurately convey the gist of your email. Keep
      • Tip of the week 15 - Add subscription-preferences option. Drive more engagement.

If crafting content for emails, getting creatives done, and running email campaigns is your love, then unsubscribes are the heartbreakers.  You can save your emails from being unsubscribed/trashed by adding a proper subscription-preferences option in your emails (works best at the time of signup). Giving subscribers the option to choose what they want to receive from you and decide how often (frequency of the emails) your emails should hit their inboxes will increase the reach of your campaigns manifolds.
