Verify your signer's identity with EU eID methods
Hello, everyone!
One of the most common concerns people have before using digital signatures is whether the intended individual is actually the one signing the document. Fortunately, digital signature services offer multiple options for verifying signer identities before granting access to the document.
Zoho Sign already offers various authentication methods through email, SMS messages, and one-time passwords (OTPs).
In addition, Zoho Sign now allows users to verify signers in the European Union through their EU eID. Signers will have to authenticate their identities through one of the supported eID methods even before viewing the document. At present, Zoho Sign supports three eID procedures:
- beID (Belgian eID)
- iDIN (Dutch eID)
- Personalausweis (nPA) Authentication (German National ID card)
Key benefits of eID verification:
- Ensures better security for your important business documents.
- Verifies signer identity with government issued IDs.
- Provides highest level of compliance with electronic identification, authentication, and trust services (eIDAS).
To learn more about enabling the recipient authentication via EU eID, visit our
help page. We're also planning to introduce signer identity verification in other regions. You can share your feedback here or send us an email at
