We are happy to announce the list of new features & updates in Zoho Inventory to help you make the best out of this holiday season. Take a look, try it out and share your feedback with us.

1. Introducing 'Backordering' feature.

With backordering feature, you can easily backorder the items that are out of stock right from the sales order that you create. This means every backordered purchase order is automatically associated with that sales order, saving several hours of work and enabling more efficient order management.

In Zoho Inventory, you can see the 'backorder' option after the sales order is confirmed.

Once you click the 'backorder' option, A dialog box will appear where you can select the items that you wish to back order. Once you select the backorder option, the sales order will be moved to 'On Hold' status.

2. Import /Export Option for Composite items

Now, the import/export option is available for composite items also. Just click on the 'composite items' under the Items module and click on the 'menu icon' for quickly importing or exporting composite items into your database.

3. 'Closed' status for sales orders

Now, you can mark your sales order as 'closed' status even if the fulfillment is not done. This option is helpful when you import your sales orders from Zoho Books or when the fulfillment is already done for a particular sales order.
