Hello everyone,
Here are the latest updates we released in August.
Event accessibility settings
Events can now be made exclusive to a certain audience or made available to all. Set the event's accessibility to either private or public on the Event details page. You can also allow or block email domains for visitor sign-ins and ticket registration on the event microsite. This setting applies to everyone except portal team members, event team members, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors.
Making a microsite public will allow anyone on the internet with the URL to access it. Setting it as private will only allow access to the email domains you have provided. For everyone else, only the Home page of the microsite will be visible.
To set event accessibility: Go to Microsite Builder > Event details
Discuss with others at networking tables
Networking tables facilitate impromptu communication—for example, round table discussions at physical events. With Backstage, you can set up networking tables before the event. You can also enable options such as chat, video stream, polls, or screen sharing for everyone at the networking table. Make tables available to everyone who will participate in your event or make them exclusive to certain people such as speakers or sponsors. During the event, attendees can take a seat at a virtual table to connect with other participants and share valuable ideas or thoughts relating to the event.
Once an attendee joins a table, they can see who else is at the table and unmute their mic to speak to them. Event team members by default can join networking tables at any time to take part in the discussion or just observe the conversation. Event members who join networking tables can manage ongoing interactions by muting or unmuting the mics or pausing the video stream of participants.
To enable networking tables: Go to Manage Dashboard > Virtual > Networking
OTHER UPDATES
- Introducing our new virtual space, which provides a unified experience where you can join sessions, participate in discussions using networking tables, and hold exhibitor meetings from one space.
- You can now customize the way exhibitors are displayed on the event microsite, including their arrangement and more.
- We've improved SEO ranking for event microsites so they'll display for relevant searches.
Also, Backstage made it to the
Constellation ShortList™ once more under the Event Marketing and Management Software category. We definitely couldn't have done this without you. Thank you for being here!
Happy organizing!
