What's New—November 2022

Dear Backstage users,

We've worked on a few enhancements this month that we hope will help to remove friction from your event-planning endeavors.

  • Set up the page layout for ebadges so that they can be easily downloaded, printed, or converted to physical badges. Event badges can be sent digitally to ticket holders via email attachments. To design how ebadges are displayed on the page, simply edit the layout in the Ebadge settings section for an event badge in Backstage.
  • Allow microsite visitors to opt out of non-functional cookies, which are used for tracking and analytics. Set this up in the Cookie management tab inside Settings in the Design tab.
  • When you set up your cookie policy, you can choose to show the cookie banner for all countries or only to GDPR countries.
  • You can now allow users with custom roles to get sales and order details for an event they are part of. To do this, edit the user role's permissions and click the Manage and Conduct Dashboard permissions tab. Next, enable the View sales and order summary toggle in the Manage registrations section.
  • Send passes for event participants such as speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors. Enable this option in the Email options tab when you edit emails sent to them.
  • You can now add exhibitors right from the Booth tab when you've created a booth.
  • Filter attendees based on the type of file they uploaded when you have an upload field added to the ticket registration form. You can use this filter in the Attendees tab in the Manage Dashboard.
  • Export the missed registrations list from Backstage.

Happy organizing!
