What's New—October 2021

Hello Backstage users,

Here are the latest updates for October.

Access profiles of all attendees in your portal

You can now view a visual representation, related statistics, and more for all attendees in the Attendee Profiles tab inside your Backstage portal.

The Dashboard tab shows the number of attendees that took part in any event and also those who participated in more than one event in your portal. You can see pie chart representations of attendees based on location and the type of event. In this page, you can also see top-10 lists for event attendees and session attendees. You can use the filter at the top of the page to see information from a specific period of time.

The Attendees tab gives a detailed list of people with their email address and other details, if provided, such as their company name, mobile, and number of events attended in that portal. You can also export this list at any time.

To access attendee profiles: Go to Attendee profiles in your portal

Provide different ways to attend a hybrid event

Backstage allows you to create hybrid events that enable you to host a physical event while allowing online audiences to access it as well. You can now set up the mode of attending for ticket classes in a hybrid event. When creating a ticket class, choose from the Venue and online, Venue only, and Online only options to enable someone to get tickets based on their needs.

When someone purchases a Venue only ticket, they can only be checked into the event by someone from the event location. If someone purchases an Online only ticket, they can check themselves into the event through the event microsite. Those holding tickets that are Venue and online can attend the event at the event location or remotely.

The mode of attending you set for ticket classes, the advantages you provide at the event location, or benefits made available on the event microsite can help you further decide on suitable prices for your tickets.

To set up mode of attending: Go to Microsite Builder > Tickets

OTHER UPDATES

  • You can now set a name when using the default option for primary contact. Previously, this could only be done in the portal level, but now it can be done for any event in the portal.
  • Once a session is complete, you can export attendees who attended that session.
  • Questions that were asked in a session can also be exported.
