What's New – December 2019

Hello everyone,

Another year gone and what a year it was! This month, we worked long and we worked hard because, as you know, work happens a lot faster when it's the end of the year. There were gaps to fill, loose ends to tie, and projects to finish. We hope you're happy with the result.

So here we go with the latest updates from Backstage.

It's here — BadgeUp for event badges!

If there's one event trend that's truly classic, it's probably the badge. It's a good conversation starter, makes for a nice keepsake, and helps showcase your brand. With Backstage's BadgeUp, you can design and generate stunning badges for your event participants in no time at all.

Create custom badges for all roles. Preview the badges before finalizing them and print them later when you're ready. It's easy, convenient, and takes very little time.
To do this: Go to Manage > Overview > Badge Design

Unlock hidden tickets with access codes

Most events have private ticket classes for the special few – loyal customers, sponsors, or VIPs. But how do you keep it exclusive for just those people? Using access codes. Access codes are secret codes that reveal hidden ticket classes that are not available for the general public.

In Backstage, you can create access codes with discounts and share them with select people. These people can then access the ticket class by applying the code.
To do this: Go to Manage > Promote > Promotional codes

Zoho Backstage Ticketing — The GCC Edition

Sometime back, we launched our ticketing system, and over the months, we've been supporting more and more countries. This time, the GCC (Gulf Council Countries) has been added to the list. Members from the GCC can connect to the payment gateway PayTabs and process payments at a 0% commission rate. Awesome, right?

OTHER UPDATES

  • Backstage has a default email address for primary contacts, concierge@zohobackstage.com. And it does the job pretty well. But we thought you might want to go by another name. So we bring you the option to replace "concierge" with a name of your choosing.
  • Get a list of people who don't complete the registrations in the Missed registrations tab of your event's Registrations tab.
  • Your microsite's URL can now also be a promo code link. Click the Copy code link option to the right of any code in the Promotional codes tab to get the promo link. When your prospects or customers visit your microsite through this URL, the promotional code will be automatically applied to their tickets.
  • Direct visitors to your websites, blogs, or other pages by linking their URLs to the images in your microsite.
  • Give your microsite more flair with custom backgrounds for the sections. You can also choose to have different backgrounds for the mobile browser and attendee app – something more suited for the mobile view.
  • We get that sometimes you may want to check in attendees well before the event starts. So we bring you the option to start checking in attendees anytime after your microsite goes live. You no longer have to wait for the event day to do it.
  • We've added Payments Pro to the list of payment gateways we support. We've also added Express checkout for Payments Pro and Payflow, and multiple currency support for Razorpay.

That's all for this month. As always, we'd love to know what you think in the comments below. You can also write to us at support@zohobackstage.com with product-related queries.

Happy 2020!
