Hello everyone,
We spent January working on a lot of under-the-hood improvements and squashing quite a few bugs. The result? Backstage runs a lot more smoothly now. And in the midst of all this, we also rolled out some new features that we're sure you'll like.
So in case you missed them, these are the latest updates from Backstage.
Domain authentication for better email delivery
Do you know what disrupts event communication like nothing else? Having your emails sent to spam. This is why authenticating your email's domain is important. Verifying it through SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DKIM (DomainKey Identified Mail) ensures that your emails make it to the inbox, not the spam folder.
When you use a custom email address with DMARC policies updated, it's recommended that you verify both the SPF and DKIM records in the domain's DNS settings. This way, you can be sure that your attendees are always getting your emails.
To do this: Go to Settings > Branding > Domain Authentication
OTHER UPDATES
- You can now completely customize the cancellation policy for your event. The cancellation deadline can be any number of days before the event, not just something fixed like a week or fortnight.
- In addition to featuring speakers to highlight them in the event microsite, you can now use layouts and carousel sliders to showcase them in a much cleaner way.
- The latest enhancements to BadgeUp include options to modify the shape of the user avatar and decorative elements that can be added to the text so you can bring more flourish to your event badges.
And that's a wrap. Our year has been very good so far, and we hope yours has too. As always, we'd love to know what you think in the comments below. You can also write to us at support@zohobackstage.com with any product-related queries.
Happy organizing!
