What's New – October 2020
Hello everyone,
We’re in the final quarter of 2020, and the event world is starting to take a turn for the better. With more and more countries relaxing their lockdown restrictions, live events are finally back, albeit on a smaller scale. This month, Zoho Backstage has released a series of updates focusing on both the virtual and on-site event experiences so when you get to hosting your live events soon, everything is shipshape. Read on for more information on what’s new at Backstage this October.
Add another layer of exclusivity to promo codes with guest lists
We all know that discounts work rather well when it comes to selling out an event. As does exclusivity. This update combines both, wherein you can create promo codes that will be accessible to only a select few people. For everyone else—even if they do know the code name—the code won’t work. This is done by assigning exclusive guest lists for each promo code.
When creating a code (be it a discount code or an access code), choose the Selected option in the Eligibility section. Then click the Add guest list link to add the email addresses of people who should be eligible to use this promo code during checkout. These members will be sent an email with the code name. Alternatively, you can upload a spreadsheet with the guest list. Oh, and one more thing, you can also know who’s used the code and send reminder emails to the people who are yet to do so.
To do this: Go to Manage > Promote > Promotional code > Add code > Selected > Add guest list
OTHER UPDATES
- The introductory offer for Backstage OnAir has been extended by another month, which means you can use it to host virtual events for free until November 30, 2020.
- Now, you can write flows for when an event is published in Backstage and trigger actions in any of the 500+ supported apps in Zoho Flow.
- Mistakes happen, and sometimes they happen a lot. Especially during check-ins. That’s why we’ve added an option for you to undo attendee check-ins.
And one more thing—we’ve officially partnered with the payment gateway Stripe to make event ticketing and payments even more effortless.
That’s all for now. Do tell us what you think about these latest additions to Backstage. You can leave a comment below or write to us at support@zohobackstage.com. We’d love to know your thoughts.
Happy organizing!
