What's New in Zoho Inventory - April 2022

Hello customers!

This month, we're glad to announce a bunch of major enhancements to Zoho Inventory. Let's take a look at what's new in April:

Introducing the Client Portal

The Client Portal is a self-service portal for your customers to view and manage their transactions. They can use it to pay for outstanding invoices, track shipments, update their contact information, and much more. You can control which of your customers have access to the portal, by sending them an invite via email. The Client Portal is enabled for your organization by default, and the URL to access it is auto-generated based on your organization’s name. You can view the portal URL and change it in the Portal preferences, if necessary, before starting to invite your customers to the portal. Along with this, there are a lot of customization options available that will help you make your Client Portal unique to your business.

Zoho Inventory Integrates with Zoho SalesIQ

We're glad to inform that you can integrate your Zoho Inventory organization with Zoho SalesIQ; a live chat support platform that lets your customers reach out to you easily via the Client Portal.

To integrate Zoho Inventory with Zoho SalesIQ, go to Settings > Integrations > Zoho Apps. Click Connect next to Zoho SalesIQ.

Record Expenses

We've added the Expenses module for users using the Premium and Elite plans of Zoho Inventory. You can use this module to record and manage any expenses that you or your employees incur. If you incurred an expense on behalf of a customer, you can mark that expense as billable to invoice that customer.

To create an expense, go to the Expenses module under Purchases from the left sidebar, and click + New.

Mark Custom Fields as ePHI

Zoho Inventory now supports electronic protected health information (ePHI) as a field type for custom fields. Once you mark a custom field as ePHI, all the data entered in that field will be encrypted and won't be searchable. You can mark custom fields that have the following data types as ePHI:

  • Text
  • Email
  • URL
  • Number
  • Phone
  • Date

These are just some of the major updates that we wanted to inform you about. To check all the updates that were rolled out, do visit the What's New timeline. If you have any other queries or suggestions, feel free to drop a comment below or write to us at support@zohoinventory.com.

Thanks,
The Zoho Inventory Team
