What's New in Zoho Inventory - December 2018

As we near the year-end, let's see what our team has put in for an enhanced inventory management for your business. Checkout the new features put forward for the month of December. 

1) Android App for Zoho Inventory


You asked, and so we delivered. We present to you the all-new Zoho Inventory Android app. Now manage your inventory with ease, from anywhere, anytime.

With the app, you can manage items, generate and fulfil sales orders, track shipments, and get notified when it's time to reorder items.

2) Create Transactions from the Items List Page

What if you are running short of time but want to quickly raise a purchase order for all the out-of-stock items? Typically, you'll have to create a new purchase order and then painstakingly find and add each low stock items to the transaction. We've made this simpler for you.

 

You can now select up to 25 items from the items list page and quickly create purchase orders, sales orders, invoices or bills for them. You can even filter the low stock items and raise a purchase order instantly.





3) Search Items List by Preferred Vendor

You can now search items based on their preferred vendors under the advanced search for Items. Users can also create a custom view for items with "Preferred Vendor" as a filter criteria. 

 


4) View Payment Status in Sales Orders List Page

Want to quickly check on the sales orders yet to be paid? From now on, you will be able to see the payment status of each sales order in the list page itself.

To view the payment status in the sales orders list page, all you have to do is enable the 'Paid' option by clicking in Customize Columns. This feature is available when creating a custom view for the sales orders too.




5) Import Packages

So far, you could only export packages from Zoho Inventory. We have now provided the option to import packages too.

However, before importing packages, ensure that the sales orders and items associated with the packages already exists in Zoho Inventory.





6) Bank Charges Field in Vendor Payments

 

We have introduced the Bank Charges field when you make a payment against a bill, so that you can record any transaction charges incurred on bill payment. This is currently available only for the US, Canadian, Australian and Global editions.
