What's New in Zoho Inventory - November 2020

With the holidays approaching fast, we're delighted to come bearing a heap of much-awaited features which we have been busy fine-tuning for the past few months.  The warehouse module being the focal point of development has been equipped with game-changing features such as Access Restrictions and Picklists. Our other key releases include Vendor Credits, Google Shopping and e-Invoicing. Let's go through each of them briefly.

Warehouse Access Restrictions

Confidentiality is a core aspect of any trade. Hence, business owners prefer that their warehouse staff have access only to the inventory details they require and not look into any other non-essential information. In Zoho Inventory, you can select the users who should have exclusive access to a warehouse. These users will only be able to view the details of the warehouses you've permitted them to access. All other warehouses will be hidden from them throughout Zoho Inventory. Learn more.

Picklists

When you have a surge of orders coming through, it becomes a conundrum for the warehouse staff to fetch the right items for each order. Creating a picklist helps avoid this confusion as it states the items and its exact quantity that needs to be picked from a warehouse. The designated stock picker can update the status as they pick the items in the list and efficiently fulfill the order. Learn more.

Google Shopping Integration (US and IN editions)

Integrate Zoho Inventory with Google Shopping and list your products on Google Merchant Center to make them available for online shopping ads and other Google services. You can create ad campaigns on Google Ads with a flexible budget, and monitor the ad analytics and conversion rate from the campaign summary page within Zoho Inventory. At any time, you can change your campaign budget, pause your campaign or even delete and create a new campaign. Learn more.

E-Invoicing (IN Edition)

The new GST regime mandates businesses with an annual turnover of 500 crores and above to submit their invoices to the e-Invoicing system. In Zoho Inventory, you can create e-Invoices in the Government prescribed format by uploading invoices to the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP) easily. Learn more.

Vendor Credits

You can record any amount owed to you by your vendor in the form of credits in Zoho Inventory. These credits can be applied on your unpaid bills or your future bills from the same vendor, and only pay the balance amount. Learn more.

Compliance with Amazon Data Protection Policy (US, IN and CA editions)

Zoho Inventory is now compliant with Amazon's Data Protection Policy which enforces strict standards to protect sensitive information from any unlawful forms of processing. Learn more about the changes implemented within Zoho Inventory to protect customer data.

Update AfterShip Tracked Shipment Status Manually

You can now update the status of AfterShip tracked shipments manually in case there is a delay in receiving the shipment status.

Backorder Option for All Marketplace Sales Orders

We have provided the Backorder option for marketplace orders so you can reorder low stock items to fulfill them on time. Learn how you can backorder the items in a sales order.

New Payables Reports

We've added two new reports under Payables called Payable Summary and Payable Details Report which summarizes the bills and vendor credits recorded for a selected period.

Perform Advanced Search Based on Tax

We've added the tax field as a search criterion for the advanced search option for Invoices. You can now filter your invoices based on their applied tax.
