What's new in Zoho Vault Q1 2019?

Since the start of the year, the Zoho Vault team has come up with numerous exciting updates that makes online life easier and more secure for our users. We've listened to the user requests and are excited to announce some updates that many of our users have been waiting for.

Seamless auto login to popular websites

Vault now supports auto login for websites with two-step login process, like Google, Apple, Evernote and more! This update will save you time and effort, giving you a pleasant login experience while increasing your productivity.

Automatic approval of handshake requests

Whenever a user signs up for Vault, an org key gets generated to help encrypt and decrypt passwords. This org key is then encrypted with the user’s passphrase. Previously, in order to share Vault passwords with newly added users, a sharing handshake request for that particular user had to be manually approved by an admin or a super admin. This process has now been automated. Admins will now receive an email notification to approve the sharing handshake request whenever a new user is added. All these requests will be auto approved immediately after an Admin logs in to Vault. This will significantly reduce your labor when importing multiple users, while also allowing users to instantly share passwords, simplifying your overall experience.

Back up your passwords to cloud storage services

Zoho Vault now integrates with popular cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, and Amazon S3. You can periodically send your passwords as encrypted files to your cloud account. This allows you to organize your passwords in one place and use them as a disaster recovery option, should you ever accidentally delete passwords.

Completely refreshed Dashboard

Feel the new refreshing look of your Vault's Dashboard. Generate your Password Assessment Report and get exhaustive insights from the Dashboard. Get an overview of all the Secrets, Chambers and Shared Secrets in your account and access them in a single click. Download our browser extensions and mobile apps directly from the Dashboard.

Access passwords with valid helpdesk tickets

Vault now integrates with popular helpdesk solutions like Service Now, JIRA, Zendesk, Zoho Desk, and SDP OnDemand. With the helpdesk approval option, an Admin can allow users to automatically access passwords if they provide a valid ticket ID from any of the integrated help desks. There are multiple criteria that can be set, which you should explore, to define a ticket to be valid. Ideally, this feature lets users focus more on fixing issues rather than spending time worrying about passwords!

Browser extension for Microsoft Edge

For all Windows 10 users, we released the Zoho Vault browser extension for Microsoft Edge in early January, helping you experience the ease of using Vault from your favorite browser. You no longer need to switch from the browser of your choice to log into websites. Experience all the features that have so far only been available on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, now on Edge. There's much more to come from Vault in the next quarter. Stay tuned!
