What's New this March 2019 in Zoho Invoice?

As this new month begins, we bring you a bunch of new enhancements and updates. Read on to know about what we've added to Zoho Invoice for the month of March.

Configure advanced settings in ICICI eazypay (Indian edition)

If you're an Indian edition user and have set up ICICI eazypay as one of your payment gateways, you now have the option to configure advanced settings. You can specify who bears the transaction fee and also enable the modes of payment for your customers. T he online payment modes (Credit Card, Debit Card, NetBanking and UPI) will be mandatory, whereas you can choose the offline payment modes (Cash, Cheque, NEFT/RTGS).

Choose payment options from the payments tab

With the  Payments tab in the invoice details page, you can now choose the mode of payment that you want to enable for your customer. From setting up payment gateways to recording offline payments, you can do them all now in one place, right from the invoice details page.

View in-app notifications separately

You’ll find an  Announcements tab where the announcements we make are segregated and displayed. Your regular in-app notifications will be under the Notifications tab.

View customer details while creating an invoice

When you create an invoice for a customer, you might want to know more details about them such as outstanding receivables, credit available or their contact persons. We have now provided this option in Zoho Invoice. When you select a customer name while creating an invoice, you can view all their details by clicking  View Customer Details.

Enable/disable  editing of accepted estimates

From the preferences section of Estimates, you can now configure to edit an estimate after it has been accepted. If you enable this option and edit an accepted estimate, its status will be changed to Sent. Your customer might have to accept it again or you can mark it as accepted.

Force delete custom fields in transactions

We have provided the option to force delete custom fields along with their values from all the transactions. However, as of now, if you’ve used this custom field’s placeholder in workflows, email-templates, custom views and address formats, they will not be removed. You will have to remove them manually after force deleting the custom field.

Make salesperson field as mandatory

You can now choose to mark the Salesperson field as mandatory. You can make this change from the Field Customization tab of the corresponding module's preferences page, wherein you can mark the salesperson field as mandatory or optional from the dropdown.

Customize your templates

Apart from the above updates, we've also added the following template customization options:
  • Add a "Refund" column in customer statement template.
  • Display project name under invoice details in customer statement template.

  • Resize the logo in template customization under Header section.

  • Enable/disable Terms and Conditions in all the templates. This can be done from the Footer tab of Templates edit page.

  • A5 paper size support in all the templates.

Try out all these latest features and feel free to let us know what you think about them in the comments below.

Cheers,
Lavanya
