What's New this March 2020 in Zoho Invoice?

Hello, everyone!

We are back with the latest updates from Zoho Invoice! Read on to know what's new this March.

Attach files using the Attachment custom field

Custom fields are helpful when you want to add additional information to your transactions. You can now create a custom field with the
Attachment data type to attach files, such as PDFs and JPGs, to transactions. This can be particularly useful when you want documents like warranty details or terms & conditions to be mandatory for sending invoices or estimates. In such cases, you can create a custom field with attachment data type and make this field mandatory.
To create a custom field with the Attachment data type:
  • Go to SettingsPreferences.
  • Select the module for which you want to create this custom field.
  • Select Field Customization and click + New Custom Field.
  • Choose the data type as Attachment and fill the required details.
  • Click Save.

Now, when you create a new transaction for this module, you can attach files either from the cloud or your desktop. The attached file can also be previewed.

Note
  • You can create a maximum of 4 Attachment custom fields per entity.
  • Your file size must be within 5 MB.
Add multiple GSTINs for customers (Indian Edition)

If a business operates from more than one location, then it is mandatory to obtain a separate GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) for each location. This can now be captured for your customers in Zoho Invoice.

To do this:
  • Go to Customers and select the required customer.
  • In the Overview tab, click Add additional address.
  • In the Tax Information dropdown, select Manage Tax Information.
  • Add a GSTIN number and Place of Supply.

Now, when you create a new transaction for this customer, the GST treatment will be updated according to the address.

View all your scheduled reports

If you have scheduled multiple reports, keeping track of each one of them, or making changes to them could be a time-consuming task. You can now view all your scheduled reports in one place, under the Scheduled Reports tab. From here, you can easily edit the schedule of a report, or mark a scheduled report as Active or Inactive.

To view this: Go to Reports > Select Scheduled Reports on the top right corner of the screen.

Note: This feature is only available for admin users.
