What's New this October 2020 in Zoho Invoice?

Hello, everyone!

In this past month, we've added an array of features and enhancements to Zoho Invoice. Here's a roundup of everything that's new.

Sign estimates using its public link

Your customers can now digitally sign and accept estimates right from the estimate link that's shared with them. This is convenient for one-time customers who don't have the Client Portal enabled. All they need to do is access the link, enter their email address (the one that is associated with their contact in Zoho Invoice), and then sign the estimate digitally to accept it.

To let customers accept estimates using public links: Go to Settings > Preferences > Estimates > Mark the Allow customers to accept or decline the estimates via the public link option.

Note: You need to integrate your organization with Zoho Sign to accept digital signatures.

Auto-apply unused credits to recurring invoices

If a customer has excess payments or credit notes, you can now choose to apply them automatically to their subsequent recurring invoices before they are sent. This way, your customers will be invoiced only for their balance due. Learn more about auto-applying credits.

To do this: Go to Settings > Preferences > Recurring Invoices.

Set template-specific address formats

We have introduced the option to customize the address format for each template, so you can personalize them according to your customers' preferences. With this, you can configure different address formats for different templates, and then associate them to the desired customers.

To do this: Go to Settings > Templates > Click Edit on the desired template > Select Header from the left menu > Select the address you want to customize > Click Configure.

Create up to 103 custom fields

Custom fields are a great way for you to store additional information related to your transactions. You can now create a maximum of 103 custom fields per module. This limit is applicable only to the Professional plan of Zoho Invoice.

Make the most of the iOS 14 updates

With Apple rolling out its latest iOS, we've updated the Zoho Invoice iOS app to bring you enhanced privacy and a smoother user experience. Here's how we've tailored the app for iOS 14:
  • Widgets to keep up with your business right from the home screen
  • Photo picker to safeguard your privacy
  • Newly designed date picker and pull-down menus

For the full list of updates, check out our what's new timeline. We will be back next month with a bunch of fresh updates! Until then, try these features out and let us know your thoughts in the comments below. You can also reach out to us at support@zohoinvoice.com.
