when select single record and generate(button) working fine, but when selects multiple records and click on that button not working the same.. issue..

On report page just next to delete button i have added button called as Generate and it is working fine when selects one record and click on that button but when i select multiple records it is not working same as when we select single record.
So, i am trying to achieve is that - when select multiple record and click on that button, then achieve the same that while selecting single record and click on that button.
ON that button, there is function.
When i checked workflow properties, then i have found that execution action for - collection of record, and i was trying to change into Each record; but i couldn't(I was thinking this would fix ) .. will it be work like this ?
