Widgets in Zoho SalesIQ to display actionable data from multiple integrations

What are Widgets?

  • Widgets are user interfaces that can be built as a part of SalesIQ's platform to display information related to a conversation and also to do certain actions.
  • They are basically used inside SalesIQ to display different categories of information right inside the live chat window to make your operators' jobs easier. These widgets can be created to display CRM, Desk, Salesforce and so many other integration data.

Benefits of Widgets:

  • Widgets are a great way to show data from an external service or a database in your chat window. You can pull data from any application and display them in SalesIQ's chat window and push data from SalesIQ to any application with actionable elements in widgets.
  • They are highly customizable and support a wide range of textual and visual elements to make the data displayed more actionable.
For example, if you have an organization with 100 operators and these operators all require access to customer details, you don't necessarily have to give them all access to the complete visitor data collection. With Zoho SalesIQ's Widgets, you can pull out and display only the information that is required by your operators.

Handlers in Widgets:

There are two handlers that widgets function on:

  • This handler can be used to configure the information that will be displayed when a widget is rendered.
  • The parameters available in this handler are operator, environment and context.

  • The Action Handler can be used to specify what happens when an action is performed in a widget.
  • The response of an action handler can be of 4 types - banner, form, sections_edit, and section_navigate.
  • The parameters available in this handler are operator, environment, context, action and context.
