Writer Designer's Update 2018: What's Changed with Page Settings

Hey there, Writers! =]

As a part of the Writer Designer's Update 2018, here's everything new and improved with Tables in Writer:

1. Customizable horizontal lines

While horizontal lines act as separators for different sections in a document, they also make your document more visually appealing and easier to read. Keeping that in mind, we've now added some handy customization options for horizontal lines in the form of line weight, color, pattern, and alignment.

2. Beautiful page borders

Give your documents a touch of elegance with some well-designed page borders. Whether you're drafting a report, or printing a handout, page borders can make your content look neatly arranged.

3. Better paragraph formatting options

All the incredible features introduced as a part of page borders are also available for paragraph formatting. Apply borders, choose their curvature and the distance from text the same way you did with page borders.

4. Table borders are getting an update too!

We're also making cell-borders in tables more flexible than ever. You can now tweak border properties of an individual cell in a table, making a cell standout better from the rest. To view all the new options, click on the gear ( ⚙) icon next to the table, and go to  Design tab.

That's all for now. Do check out the  Writer Designer's Update blog  for everything else we're announcing with this update.

Happy writing!
