The gist of the problem: I had unsaved work that is apparently now lost. However, the word count reflects the work that I had done that apparently didn't save, as I can't find what I wrote in the document.
The rest of the story: I don't know what's relevant so I'll tell it all. I'm trying to keep it both concise and understandable. Ask if something is unclear.
During the day I don't have access to Wi-Fi. However, my computer allows me to load a website and still access it. I write in Writer during the day, then, at the end of the day when I have Wi-Fi again, the document saves with what I've written during the day. It's on my computer so long as I don't reload the page, but it's not saved locally. Yesterday I had 62.6k words. Today I ended the day with 64.1k words. I got home and plugged in my computer. When I went to Zoho a while later, the page had an error message. I can't say what the message said, because I reloaded before fully reading. When the page had reloaded, it told me that I had 64.1k words. However, when I scrolled to where my day's writing had been, it wasn't there. There was about a paragraph of what I had written, then a sudden formatting change in the middle of a word. I duplicated the page and the new, freshly-loaded page told me that I had 62.7k words. Version history (accessed from the duplicated page) doesn't show any of what I wrote today except for the ~100 words that appear to have saved before the page crashed.
Screenshot of the spot where it appears to have stopped saving.
Is there any way to access what I wrote today? I would assume that it's gone forever except that the word count on the initial page seems to remember it. Even if I have to copy it from the initial page and paste it into the duplicated page, I'll do that.
Thanks,
Zoho user Trexel
