Zoho Calendar sends Event declines on behalf of MS Outlook

Hello,

And yes, it made my day a bit easier although calendaring seems to be the unloved stepdaughter in your overall design.

Today a customer called in and informed me he got 12 declines for a single instance of a recurring meeting.

The customer (another Outlook domain) invited me to a Teams meeting on the 2nd of December. After this, he canceled some meetings around the holidays, but the overall series was set up until late January.
In my Outlook calendar, the canceled instances of the Meeting were showing 'Canceled: [Title]' and were colored with a white background.

Certainly, the series and the cancelation have been synced to Zoho Calendar.

This morning at about 10:45, I decided to clear my Outlook calendar and deleted the canceled instance of this meeting for today at 8:45 in Outlook.

The customer called me and told me I sent him 12 declines for the meeting.
We checked the email metadata. The originator was Zoho Calendar:
  1. authentication-results: spf=pass (sender IP is 31.186.226.201)
     smtp.mailfrom=eu-sender.zohocalendar.com; dkim=pass (signature was verified)

This raises some questions:
- why is Zoho Calendar sending declines, declined using another system/client, if I did not use the Zoho Calendar client to remove the meeting? Do you pass the CalDAV events completely through the very same process as the user GUI modifications?
- why is Zoho Calendar sending Declines for meetings which have already been canceled by the host? This has not even been done by Outlook.
- why is Zoho Calendar sending SEVERAL declines for single instances?

I'm posting this in the Zoho One category, as I'm using Zoho One, and like many users in this community, I rely on a stable, trustworthy system.

      • How to Add Users to your Organization in ZohoMail?

        A better clarity so you can create other users to start using Zoho Mail. You can directly Add Users from the Control Panel to your Organization. You can invite users with the existing email address. If the person (user) already uses ZohoCRM, then you can import users from Zoho CRM. You can also import them using a .csv file. (if you are planning to add them in Bulk)  In this topic, We will be discussing on how to Add and Invite users only.  The Import options are self explanatory. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
