Zoho Campaigns, as a marketing solution for the ecommerce industry

Zoho Campaigns, as a marketing solution for the ecommerce industry

As a user of Zoho Campaigns, you've probably seen the ecommerce module inside the product.

Understanding that email marketing and ecommerce go hand-in-hand, we wanted to make Zoho Campaigns more effective for ecommerce email marketers. That's why a lot of ecommerce-centric updates were done in recent times. While our think tank and developers are invested in adding more capabilities, I thought I'd elaborate where Zoho Campaigns stands as a marketing solution for ecommerce email marketers right now.

Integration options

As you may know, the first step in realizing this benefit is connecting your store with Zoho Campaigns. Online stores built using BigCommerce, Shopify, WooCommerce, and Zoho Commerce can be integrated with Zoho Campaigns.

The big picture

Now, let's look at the challenges that Zoho Campaigns' ecommerce solution solves for you.

1. Effective communication

Today's customers have reached a point where they want emails to be uniquely tailored to their needs. However, it's difficult for an ecommerce marketer to send tailored emails to every customer considering the pace at which the industry operates. This is where Campaigns' drag-and-drop workflows enters the picture.

With workflows, you can envision how your customers would interact with your emails, design a complete journey, and completely automate it. The flexible and customizable nature of the workflows means you can build email journeys specific to your needs. To make things easier for you, we've designed ready-made workflow templates for abandoned carts and purchase follow-ups.

2. Target marketing

The chances of having repeat sales from your customers increase when you target them based on their behavior. For that, however, you need to have easier access to their behavior data. When your store is run in conjunction with Campaigns, harnessing your customers' behavior data becomes a breeze. The data is instantly pulled in by Campaigns once you create segments.

Some of the predefined segment fields that are available in Campaigns are:

       1. Total number of orders made
       2. Average amount spent
       3. Average amount spent per order
       4. Items purchased
       5. Items not purchased
       6. Date of last order

3. Promotional content

Ecommerce is now a category in your pre-designed template gallery. All the templates are designed by taking into account the various communication needs in the ecommerce sector. The components of the drag-and-drop editor enable you to pull in your store-generated coupons and product images to the chosen newsletter template with ease.

There's also a provision to automatically attach the pictures of abandoned products when the follow-up is done through workflows.

4. Reports

Because Campaigns tightly integrates with your store, you get to see marketing-specific as well as store-specific reports. Even better, the monetary conversion of each email campaign is tracked.

P.S: As of now, BigCommerce integration is available only for the US DC.

I hope this helped! Do try our ecommerce solution and share your feedback in the comments below.

      • Email Deliverability Tip #3: Seal the deal with the preheader

In the last post, we learned about the subject line. Today we'll be learning about the preheader. A preheader is the short text that follows the subject line in an email. The preheader is designed to hint at what your email message is all about. A good preheader should act as a second subject line and convince your contacts to open the email. Now, let's learn the best way to craft a preheader. Your subject line and preheader should work together and accurately convey the gist of your email. Keep
      • Tip of the week 15 - Add subscription-preferences option. Drive more engagement.

If crafting content for emails, getting creatives done, and running email campaigns is your love, then unsubscribes are the heartbreakers.  You can save your emails from being unsubscribed/trashed by adding a proper subscription-preferences option in your emails (works best at the time of signup). Giving subscribers the option to choose what they want to receive from you and decide how often (frequency of the emails) your emails should hit their inboxes will increase the reach of your campaigns manifolds.
