Zoho Desk Contact with Multi-Account association
Hello everyone,
Zoho Desk has had the good idea of offering a feature that allows a Contact to be associated with several Accounts. It's a good idea... but it hasn't been thought through thoroughly enough because this action, although useful in itself, loses all interest when you think about synchronisation with Zoho CRM.
Indeed, while I understand that synchronisation between the 2 applications can be quite complicated in the case of a multi-account relationship, the developers should have thought about leaving a trigger available so that users could at least launch a function that could update the Zoho CRM Contact when it is associated with several accounts in Zoho Desk.
The effects are not very complicated to understand: it is impossible to maintain a relatively stable database between Desk and CRM. A contact may be linked to 3 accounts in Zoho Desk but only to 1 account in Zoho CRM...
And even if it is possible to synchronise this from Zoho CRM to Zoho Desk using a Linking Module, this doesn't make things any easier because it forces users to go through the CRM... This will automatically lead to errors (do Desk users have access to the CRM, will they make all the new associations from the CRM...).
If Zoho offers a solution such as Zoho One, the teams responsible for each application must take it into account.
The ideas are good but incomplete.
However, this is currently impossible!
Unless someone can show me otherwise or give me a possible solution (because I've still been waiting for a response from support for several weeks).
