Zoho Finance Limitations 2.0 #20: Inventory Management System with no proper "Stock Count" Report.

Zoho Finance Limitations 2.0 #20: Inventory Management System with no proper "Stock Count" Report.

Zoho inventory does have some nice features, however like Zoho Books, the reporting side of things comes up short.

Being labelled as an Inventory Management System you would hope it contains a decent Stock Count report but unfortunately it does not (or I've just not been able to find it).

Currently doing cycle stock counts is a nightmare because
- No easy way to know items have been packaged (boxed up and moved to staging area)
- No way to know packages have been shipped and are not in the warehouse

Ideal Scenario
In an ideal world we could run a stock count report that showed the committed stock breakdown of
PACKED, NOT PACKED, SHIPPED, NOT SHIPPED

Workaround:
- You have to sync with Analytics and pull reports from there but it's a messy workaround

Nobody likes doing stock counts but it's a necessary evil!! Having an inventory management system that makes it more difficult doesn't help.

========

Perspective: using Zoho finance integration from within Zoho CRM which adds a new module that pulls in Zoho books data.
