I am having troubles understanding parts vs equipment.

I understand that an "asset" is a specific instance of a piece of equipment.  But in zFSM, there is no place to enter "Equipment".  Everything is either a part or a service.

This seems like a massive gap in design logic.  

My client has lots of different types of equipment.  And each of these types of equipment are located throughout the facility as Assets.  Where do these Equipment Types get entered? They are not "parts", they are not "services".

I'm sure I'm not the only one running into this dilemma, since "equipment" is most likely the centerpiece of any maintenance program.
