Zoho Mail and Blackberry synchronization ...

 Hi Folks:

Having just switched from using Yahoo! Mail Plus to Zoho Mail, I've spotted some shortcomings...

(1) I linked Zoho Mail with my Blackberry (Curve) using the process RIM provides on the "sprint.blackberry.com" website. As part of the process, you have to indicate whether you want INBOX and SENT folders items to be kept Synchronized, by checking a "Sync" box... which I did.

Here's the problem... On my BB device, when I select "Delete message On Mailbox & Handheld", the item is deleted from the BB device, but remains in my Zoho WebMail folder (i.e. when I get back to a computer, all of those deleted emails are still there). This is true for INBOX and SENT mail folders. Basically something is not honoring the sync setting.

(2) When I send someone an email from my Zoho WebMail account, while the recipient does get the email, for some reason I too get a copy of the email on my BB INBOX... even though I didn't Cc myself. It shouldn't do this. Note: I don't get a copy in my Zoho WebMail account INBOX... only on the BB.

(3) When I read an unread message on my Zoho WebMail account, the BB device still shows it as unread (and the red light keeps blinking).

(4) I have several email aliases (personal and business), all of which get funnelled into my Zoho email account INBOX (same as I did on Yahoo). When I reply to an email from my Blackberry device, the only option is to reply as my userName@zoho.com email ID, and not the email address ID that the email came in on. I can't choose to reply as the email address ID to which it was sent.

(5) One more thing... not specific to Blackberry. When I reply to an email via my Zoho WebMail account, the Reply-As ID always defaults to the one set in the Mail settings, versus smartly setting the Reply-As ID to automatically match the email address ID on which email came in. If you forget to change it before replying, you could expose an address you don't want to.

In general there seems to be several Sync issues between Zoho and BB; as well as an inability to properly Reply-As (both on the BB and on Zoho WebMail). Each explained above. These are basic things that need to be hashed out.

Keep up the **great** work guys/gals!

Thanks & Regards,

Noel
