Zoho Sprints - Q1 Updates for 2024

Zoho Sprints - Q1 Updates for 2024

Hello Sprinters,

The first quarter of this year has been quite exciting following the release of Zoho Sprints 2.0. Our roadmap encompasses a whole lot of new features and enhancements. As a start, we've rolled out some of the new features and improvements as planned. We've also prioritized many requirements from our customers who have proactively given feedback on our new version and had them duly implemented.

With these updates, you can:
  • Manage your projects better on the enhanced Zoho Sprints 2.0
  • Create your own extension or plugin
  • Get live updates on your sprint board
  • Scroll through the item details page to go from tab to tab
  • Organize the tabs on the item details page
  • Set your notification preferences
  • Keep your users informed with the help of the new disclaimer feature

Zoho Sprints 2.0

Sprint 2.0 has been our mission for the past year. It was with great effort and commitment that we managed to release the new version with the goal of providing an improved user experience and a robust performance upgrade. This enhanced version comes with a complete revamp of the user interface and an improved performance ability, enabling a more convenient and intuitive project management system. Extension developer

The capability to build your own extension or plugin to meet specific business requirements is now at your disposal. You can create and publish the extension using Sigma, a tool that exclusively serves this purpose. Learn more about Sigma

Creating and installing a custom plugin in Zoho Sprints greatly expands the functionality of the application. It allows you to perform specialized tasks that solve your unique requirements in a manner that best suits your business. Learn how to build an extension

Live updates on sprint board

Following the release of Sprints 2.0, customers gave a feedback relating to the Board module. The behavior of the Sprint board was such that a user will have to refresh the page to view all the updates that were made by other users while viewing it. Customers suggested that getting real-time updates, eliminating the need to refresh the page, would be a good solution. So, we promptly incorporated the feedback. The updates made by others would get autosaved and reflect on the sprint board while you're viewing it, meaning you don’t have to refresh the board to view simultaneous updates by others. Scroll action in item details page

Similarly, another request from users of 1.0 was to enable navigation through scroll action in item details page. So, in addition to the existing action that allows users to select the required tab, we have rolled out an enhancement that allows users to navigate from tab to tab by scrolling. Learn more about this enhancement

Organize tabs on the item details page

The item details page now includes the capability to customize the order in which the tabs are displayed. Click the ellipsis icon beside the tabs and select the Organize Tabs option to customize the order. This allows you to prioritize the frequently used tabs. Learn how to organize tabs

Notification preferences

The option to mute or unmute notifications has been added as a setting to provide you with a certain level of autonomy over which projects you want to be notified. The Notification Preferences section comes with project level capability to enable or disable notifications. This setting is applicable to both web and mobile applications. Learn more

Display disclaimer

The workspace owner can now use the disclaimer feature to communicate information to the organization's users and also get acknowledgement that the users have received the information. You can find it in the Settings window.
The workspace owner can:

  • Enter the content that needs to be displayed
  • Select the users who would view the disclaimer
  • Publish it to the intended users who will view it when they sign in
  • Track the users who have acknowledged and not acknowledged the disclaimer
  • View the history of the changes made to the disclaimer
Learn more about creating and managing a disclaimer here.

We'd also like to bring to your notice that Sprints 1.0 will not be functional after April 30th, 2024. All users will be migrated to the new version. There're many more improvements lined up in the new version for the upcoming quarter. We'll get back to you with those in our next quarterly updates post.

Thank you,
The Zoho Sprint Team
